When I was a child, I would go to both of my grandmothers houses and help them bake cakes. I have so many good memories of my grandparents cooking and baking in the kitchen. I give those two wonderful ladies, my mother, and God the credit for my love of baking. I would spend hours in the kitchen learning all I could about how to make a cake. I have never been to culinary school or had any classes in what I do. I took the skills my grandparents gave as a child and taught myself how to create edible art. To me, my cakes are not just cakes, but they are art. I put hours of thought on how I am going to create each cake and when my vision is sitting right in front of me and I can smell the sweet icing and cake, that is when I know I am doing what I love. When one of my grandmothers recently passed away, I had this overwhelming feeling that I need to start baking again, so with the support of my husband and children, I did. And that is the beginning of SWEET SUCCESS!
